To Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail User,

RE: Notification of Change of Rail Trail Access Carpark to Behind Launching Place General Store.

 We are writing to inform you that Yarra Ranges Council is relocating the current Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail access carpark and amenities. The current carpark and amenities, located at the Home Hotel will be relocated to behind the Launching Place General Store. 

 The works are scheduled to commence in February 2018 and should be completed by the end of March 2018, subject to favourable conditions.

 These works will provide improvements to the quality and safety of traffic, car parking and amenities for users of the Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail. The new carpark will also alleviate car parking congestion at the Home Hotel Carpark.

Please be aware that while we will make every attempt to keep disruptions to a minimum, due to the nature and extent of the works there are likely to be some disruptions to the current access point and amenities.

As there will be contractors and machinery in close proximity to carpark and Rail Trail users, for the safety of all we request that you:

• Keep your speed under 20km/h;
• Be prepared to stop as you approach the works (by car, bike or by foot);
• Follow directions given by construction personnel and / or traffic controllers; and
• Do not enter construction zones that are signed as such.

As a matter of added safety, children should be advised to keep away from the works throughout their duration.
