The Upper Yarra Landcare group was founded in 2009 by passionate locals who joined together to volunteer their time to improve their local environment and have fun doing it together. They also intend to improve the educational and training opportunities for people.
The area around McMahons creek is part of a pristine environment in the upper yarra river catchment it is our aim to preserve this environment and the flora and fauna that make up the rich biodiversity of this location. -
The Upper Yarra Valley Garden Club was established in 1984 by a group of garden lovers. Our organisation is affiliated with the Royal Horticultural Society of Victoria Inc. We have just completed 29 years on the 18th July. Club Meetings commence at 7:30PM on 3rd Monday of the month at the Warburton Senior Citizens Centre. -

Amnesty International Upper Yarra Group has changed its meeting day and venue. We are now meeting on the last Saturday of the month at 10am at the Community Space behind the shops in Warburton. Please call Sue on 0404 860 820 or contact via email if interested in coming to a meeting. -
At 7pm Thursday on 20/9/12 a public meeting was hosted by Upper Yarra Community Voice to discuss interest in having a public hospital in the Upper Yarra. Location: Yarra Junction Bowling Club, Yarra Junction Reserve, Yarra Junction. -

After 21 years Ted and his river track crew have retired from business. The Warburton community thank you day was held at 1pm on Sunday 29 May at Chisholm Park, next to Brisbane bridge. For more info contact Warburton Advancement League, 5966 2373 BH. (UPDATE: Ted passed away in July 2012. His impact on Warburton will live on in those of us living here - and all those that walk 'Ted's Tracks'. Rest in peace Ted). -
Narconon is a discredited and dangerous 'drug rehab centre' that is a cash cow for Scientology. They have been based in East Warburton for some 13 years - more than 10km from Warburton. In 2014 they applied to relocate into residential Warburton beside Warburton Primary School. A two year campaign by the local community resulted in the Yarra Ranges Council rejecting the application. Narconon appealed to VCAT in 2015 and lost.
